Antique inspired Folk Art Doll, Florence and the Black Bird

Florence and the Black Bird was sculpted in a primitive antique inspired style from Paper clay over stiffened cotton cloth, then painted with layers of acrylic paint and sealed with an antiqued crackle glaze. Her clothes are made of antique linen, embellished with hand stitching. Her arms and legs are made of wool stuffed sewn and painted cotton, also sealed with antiqued crackle glaze. Her eyes are antique German glass. Her bird nest hair is made of needle sculpted and sewn dyed flax and the bird in the nest is made of spun cotton and is not removable.
She is about 20" tall and can be displayed sitting propped on a shelf or in a doll chair, or be hung on a wall from the loop attached to her back.
