Folk Art Doll, Violet
Violet was sculpted from Paper clay, fabric and sticks, then painted with pastels and sealed with a matte fixative. Her clothes are made of scrap linen, cotton and lace that has been embellished with hand stitching. Her arms and legs are made of carved sticks . Her eyes are painted apoxy clay and her hair is made of dyed flax.
She is about 10 1/2" tall and can sit, be displayed on a wall or shadow box from the loop sewn to her back or be displayed on a black metal kaiser doll stand, which is included.
