May was sculpted from Paper clay, fabric and sticks and paint. Her clothes are made of scrap silk with a lace collar. Her arms and legs are made of carved sticks, jointed at the elbows and knees with beads. Her unruly hair is made from dyed mohair, sewn and needle felted in place and her eyes are painted porcelain.
She is about 10 1/2" tall and can sit, be displayed on a wall or shadow box from the loop sewn to her back or be displayed on a black metal kaiser doll stand, which is included.
