Two dolls who fell in love in my doll storage container while waiting to be sold, so they must go together. I made them hold hands (sticks) using a tiny piece of poster wall putty - worked great!
The Gentleman Farmer Homer was sculpted from carved wood, fabric, sticks and paint. His head and lower limbs are wood and his torso is cotton stuffed with wool. His clothes are made of scrap cotton and leather. His hair is mohair and he wears a straw hat that is permanently attached.
He is about 12" tall and can sit or be displayed on the black metal kaiser doll stand, which is included.
His good wife, Penelope, was sculpted from clay, sticks, cloth and painted with layers of acrylics, with clothes hand sewn from cotton scrap embellished with hand stitching. Her tidy hair is made of flax and was sewn and needle sculpted in shape. Her eyes are hematite beads. she stands 10 1/2” tall and comes with a black metal kaiser doll stand.
